To know what is abnormal one must first know what is normal. Physiology is not just the study of normal functions of the human body but is an important link for integration of knowledge of pre & para clinical departments with clinical subjects. We at the department of physiology are committed to academic excellence, interdisciplinary research, nurturing curiosity, critical thinking and skills.Besides regular theory and practical classes the undergraduate students are actively involved in Seminars & Model competitions. The department has taken an academic leap with the initiation of DNB course and is progressing towards initiation of MD Physiology. The postgraduates are actively involved in seminars, journal clubs, research & poster presentations. In a nutshell the body speaks through signals and physiology helps us understand those signals. It helps us understand why behind every heartbeat, every breathe & every thought.
