It is with profound humility, immense gratitude, and an unwavering sense of duty that I assume the office of Principal, Government Medical College Anantnag. At this significant juncture, I deem it both an honor and a solemn responsibility to serve an institution that has earned a distinguished position in the landscape of medical education, healthcare delivery, and academic excellence in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir within a short period of time since its inception.

I convey my deepest appreciation to the Government of Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, and the Health & Medical Education Department for reposing their confidence in me. I accept this responsibility with a steadfast commitment to furthering the noble mission of this institution and to preserving the values of integrity, excellence, accountability, and public service that define its character.

To the esteemed faculty members, I extend my highest regards and sincere appreciation for your invaluable contributions towards nurturing future generations of medical professionals and advancing the frontiers of scientific knowledge. The intellectual vitality, academic rigor, and professional dedication that you bring to this institution constitute its greatest strength. Together, we shall endeavor to foster a culture of innovation, scholarly inquiry, interdisciplinary collaboration, and academic distinction that will further enhance the stature and reputation of Government Medical College Anantnag.

To our devoted officers and staff members, whose tireless efforts sustain the daily functioning of this institution, I offer my heartfelt acknowledgment. Your commitment, diligence, and professionalism remain indispensable to the realization of our collective objectives. I look forward to working in close partnership with each one of you to strengthen institutional efficiency, promote a culture of excellence, and ensure the highest standards of administrative and healthcare services.

To our bright and aspiring students, who represent the future custodians of the medical profession, I urge you to pursue your academic and professional endeavors with discipline, integrity, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to ethical values. The privilege of serving humanity through medicine carries with it a profound responsibility. May your years at this institution equip you not only with knowledge and skill but also with wisdom, empathy, and a lifelong dedication to the service of society.

To the people of Anantnag and the wider Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, I reaffirm the unwavering commitment of Government Medical College Anantnag towards the provision of accessible, equitable, and quality healthcare services. As a premier public institution, we remain resolute in our mission to alleviate suffering, uphold the dignity of every patient, and continuously strengthen the standards of clinical care, medical education, and public health outreach. The trust reposed in us by the community shall remain our greatest source of inspiration and accountability.

I also place on record my sincere gratitude to the Government of Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir for its continued support and visionary leadership in strengthening the healthcare and medical education sectors. Through sustained investment, institutional development, and collective resolve, remarkable progress has been achieved, and I am confident that even greater milestones lie ahead.

As we embark upon a new chapter in the journey of this esteemed institution, I seek the cooperation, wisdom, and wholehearted support of all stakeholders. Let us work together with unity of purpose and clarity of vision to transform Government Medical College Anantnag into an even more vibrant center of excellence in medical education, advanced research, patient care, innovation, and community service.

Among my foremost priorities shall be the continued strengthening of healthcare infrastructure, academic excellence, and patient-centered services at Government Medical College Anantnag and its associated hospitals.
